How we can help
Mana Plumbing designs and installs soak pits and water retention / detention systems for residential houses and commercial sites. When required we work directly with engineers to build their designs.
As Master Plumbers you can be confident in our work.
Residential soak pits
A high percentage of all stormwater in the wider Wellington area, (particularly the Hutt Valley, Kāpiti Coast and Levin) goes to soak pits or directly into rivers and streams. It’s vitally important for the safety of residential and commercial properties to have well designed and skillfully installed soak pits.
We are experienced and qualified in designing drainage systems and can support builders through the process of meeting council requirements.
Water detention systems
Water detention is water stored in a tank and released slowly over a prolonged period.
Water detention has become more important with the continual intensification of New Zealand’s residential housing. With more sections being subdivided, the water detention characteristics of occupied land need to be enhanced. In order to achieve what is referred to as ‘neutrality’ and avoid flooding, property owners are required to install a form of tank in or above ground.
Mana Plumbing designs, supplies and installs quality water detention systems for people subdividing their properties, property developers and new commercial builds.
Water retention systems
Water retention is when water is kept on site in a tank for use at a later date.
